The Projector
A Projector has no defined Sacral and no motor reaching the Throat. There is no consistent engine, and that is the whole design: the energy this type works with comes from reading and guiding other people rather than generating.
No defined Sacral, and no motor centre connected to the Throat. Coloured centres are defined, outlined ones are open.

This page is the mechanics. The living part is in the app.
What is here is structure: what is defined, how common it is, what the numbers say. It is dry on purpose, because it is a reference.
How any of it actually shows up in a decision, a conversation or an ordinary week is not something a page can tell you. That is what Omni is for. Enter your birth data once and the chart becomes yours to work with.
Open your chart, freeWhat actually defines a Projector
No defined Sacral, and no motor centre connected to the Throat. Type is read off which centres are connected.
An undefined Sacral takes in and amplifies whoever is nearby, which is why a Projector can work like a Generator for a while and then hit a wall that a Generator never hits. The recovery is the design running correctly.
Which authorities a Projector can have
Authority is how the body signals a yes or a no, and it matters more day to day than type does. Not every authority is available to every type. Measured across 8,463 Projector charts:
| Authority | Share of Projectors |
|---|---|
| Emotional | 44.1% |
| Splenic | 32.9% |
| Self-Projected | 12% |
| Mental | 8.4% |
| Ego | 2.6% |
Living it
Recognition comes before the work.
Being invited into something big matters more for this type than for any other, because being used without being seen is what produces bitterness.
Guard the energy before the hours.
Working fewer hours well is the design running correctly.
Bitterness is the signal.
It usually means effort went somewhere it was never recognised, or an invitation was never actually there.
Definition, measured
Definition describes how the defined parts of the chart connect to each other. Across the same Projector charts:
| Definition | Share of Projectors |
|---|---|
| Split | 47.6% |
| Single | 42% |
| Triple Split | 10% |
| Quadruple Split | 0.3% |
The common misreading
Where these numbers come from
These statistics were produced by computing 40,000 complete bodygraphs, using the same engine that runs Omni Chart Reader, and counting the results. The birth moments were spread evenly across the years 1950 to 2025.
This measures the distribution of possible birth moments. A census of living people would come out slightly different, because real births are unevenly spread across the year.
The full breakdown across all five types, including profile, gate and defined-centre frequencies, is on the Human Design types page.
